Eli's baseball season comes to a close

Eli played in the Cal Ripken AA Minor League baseball this year in Merrimack. His season started out a little shaky as he was more interested in goofing off and having a good time than concentrating on playing baseball (not unlike many of his teamates). Although as the season went on he gained a bit of focus and improved the level of his playing. In general he is a well rounded player who can field, hit, and throw well. During the course of the season he lost 1 bat, forgot his hat twice, had to use his t-ball glove twice haven forgotten his real bat, complained about playing outfield several times, and practiced pitching while playing outfield. In the second half of the season he developed quite a bit of confidence as a pitcher and ultimately became one of the best pitchers in the leage. He also greatly enjoys playing catcher and first, but is a good third baseman as well. He made the All-Star team this year and did very well in the All-Star game. He pitched one no-hitter inning with two strikeouts and had two hits during the game. Here is a pitching sequence from a previous game and a video from another.
